Ogun Police Arraign Lexus SUV Driver Over Anthony Joshua Accident Case
Kayode, aged 46, was arraigned on Friday before the Sagamu Magistrate Court, the police said.
Abeokuta,Ogun State- The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed that Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver of the Lexus SUV involved in the widely reported Anthony Joshua accident case, has been charged to court.
Kayode, aged 46, was arraigned on Friday before the Sagamu Magistrate Court, the police said.
In a brief statement issued by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the command disclosed that the matter has been adjourned to January 20, 2026, for further hearing.
The statement read, “The Ogun State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that the driver of the Lexus SUV involved in the Anthony Joshua accident case, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode (male), aged 46, was charged to the Sagamu Magistrate Court today, 2nd January, 2026 and the case has been adjourned to 20th January, 2026.”
Meanwhile, the police did not provide further details on the specific charges filed against the defendant or the circumstances surrounding the accident, which has continued to generate public interest across the state.
