Tinubu Vows Tough Decisions To Move Nigeria Forward Amid Anti-Hunger Protests
I cannot tell you more, except from the embassy, that China is a very disciplined society and we have to be disciplined too
Beijing, China- President Bola Tinubu, on Friday, declared his readiness to make difficult decisions to propel Nigeria’s progress, emphasized the challenge of building national consensus.
Tinubu made the statement while addressing Nigerians in the People’s Republic of China during the conclusion of his official visit.
Speaking to the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) and the Nigerian community at the China World Hotel, the President described his trip as “very good and successful.”
He noted that key discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang centered on infrastructure, trade, finance, energy, the green economy, and mining.
During his remarks, Tinubu urged Nigerians in China to continue being exemplary ambassadors.
In a statement by his spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu emphasized, “What is uppermost in my mind is for you to continue representing Nigeria as good citizens.”
“We will always celebrate our diversity. We cherish it, but this diversity is our commitment to serve. If it is about service, we must be good citizens.”
He emphasized the importance of discipline and commitment to national service, citing China’s disciplined society as an example for Nigerians to follow.
“I cannot tell you more, except from the embassy, that China is a very disciplined society and we have to be disciplined too. Without discipline and commitment, we cannot build a nation that is respected everywhere in the world.
“We must exploit our diversity and be ready to do everything required of us within the laws of the communities that we live in and reflect a good image of our country,” the President said.
