Senator Saliu Mustapha Sworn-In As Member Of Pan-African Parliament

Abuja, Nigeria– Senator Saliu Mustapha has been sworn in as a member of the Pan-African Parliament during the extraordinary session of the 6th Parliament convened in Midrand, South Africa.

The swearing-in ceremony occurred in Midrand, South Africa, where Senator Mustapha, nominated by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, took the oath alongside fellow members of the Nigerian delegation during the opening session.

The Kwara Central Senator whose leadership of the Nigerian delegation is an affirmation of his deep understanding of African affairs, is expected to bring his strong diplomatic and negotiation skills to bear in his new role.

The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) is the legislative organ of the African Union (AU), providing a platform for representatives from all African countries to engage in discussions and decision-making regarding the continent’s economic development and integration challenges.

Speaking after taking the oath of office, Senator Mustapha expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the esteemed Pan-African Parliament and pledged to diligently represent the interests of Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

He explained the importance of collective action in addressing the myriad challenges facing the continent, ranging from economic development to peace and security.
