Police Arrest Car Snatcher In Lagos, Recover Two Vehicles
The two other suspects who hijacked the two vehicles at gunpoint are still at large.
Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a notorious car snatcher, identified as Dayo Jimoh, along Ojodu-Berger Road, in Lagos State.
It was gathered that the two other suspects who hijacked the two vehicles at the gunpoint are still at large.
In a statement by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Monday, 14 March 2023.
“Dayo was arrested at about 0230hrs on Saturday, March 11, 2023, shortly after his gang snatched a 2003 Toyota Corolla with registration number BDG-946-GZ.
“The suspects arrived in a 2005 Toyota Camry with registration number KRD-958-HS which they earlier snatched at gunpoint at Oworo, while disguising as passengers.
“While the investigation is ongoing, the owners of the vehicles which were recovered, are hereby urged to come forward with proof of ownership to claim their vehicles,” he added.
Meanwhile, Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi charged his men to intensify efforts to arrest the two fleeing suspects.
