Kano Police Arrest 41 Suspects, Seize Weapons, Drugs

Following a series of raids on criminal hideouts and black spots in areas of public outcry within Kano Metropolis

Kano State- The Kano State Police Command has arrested 41 suspects and confiscated a cache of dangerous weapons and intoxicating substances during a series of raids on criminal hideouts across the state.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

He said the command had recovered dangerous weapons and intoxicating drugs, and that the investigation is ongoing.

“In line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to ensure round-the-clock visibility patrols and sustenance of intelligence-led policing, the Kano State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, has achieved a significant breakthrough in its efforts to combat crime in the State,” the statement read.
