Fubara Makes First Public Appearance Amid Rivers Crisis, Attends Thanksgiving Service
The embattled governor attended a special prayer, worship, and thanksgiving service at Salvation Ministries Headquarters in GRA, Port Harcourt.
Port Harcourt, Rivers State– Governor Siminalayi Fubara made his first public appearance on Sunday since the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu.
The embattled governor attended a special prayer, worship, and thanksgiving service at Salvation Ministries Headquarters in GRA, Port Harcourt.
Accompanied by top politicians, elders, and stakeholders, Fubara expressed gratitude to God for His guidance amid the state’s ongoing political crisis.
Among those present were Chief of Staff Dr. Edison Ehie, former Senate President Pro-Tempore and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide President-General Senator John Azuta Mbata, former PDP Deputy National Chairman Dr. Sam Sam Jaja, and several other political and community leaders.
The service, led by the church’s presiding pastor, David Ibiyeomie, focused on the theme “Living a Blessed Life” and featured worship sessions, scriptural exhortations, and prayers for peace and prosperity in Rivers State.
Meanwhile, a special prayer session was also held for Governor Fubara.
Fubara’s appearance comes amid heightened political tensions in the state, with stakeholders closely watching developments surrounding the sole administrator.
