The dethroned emir stated he harbors no ill feelings towards anyone
Kano State– Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, the former Emir of Gaya, has expressed his acceptance of his recent removal from office, described it as an act of God.
Abdulkadir, one of the five first-class monarchs impacted by the recent repeal of the law that restructured the Kano Emirate, spoke to BBC Hausa about his stance on the matter.
The dethroned emir stated he harbors no ill feelings towards anyone involved in the decision.
He emphasized his belief in destiny and divine will, expressing readiness to serve his community in any other capacity if given the chance.
Abdulkadir made it clear that he has no intention of challenging the governor’s action in court.
The development follows the Kano State government’s decision to revert the Kano Emirate to its previous structure, thereby affecting the positions of the newly elevated first-class kings.
