Kaduna Police Arrest Suspected Car Theft, Seize 30 Fabricated Vehicle Master Keys

The suspect was said to specialises in vehicle and motorcycle theft.

Kaduna, StateKaduna State Police Command operatives have arrested a suspect in Kaduna who was found in possession of 30 fabricated master keys for vehicles and motorcycles.

ASP Mansir Hassan, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the suspect’s arrest in a statement to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Kaduna.

“On July 20, at about 0230hrs our personnel received a distress call that a shop was burgled.

“Upon receiving information, our operatives were immediately drafted to the area.”

He said that upon arriving at the scene, the suspect, Zahradeenee Suleiman, had been arrested in the shop.

According to him, the suspect, 35, is a resident of Galma Road, Tsugugi area of Sabon Gari Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

“Upon search, about 30 different sizes of keys of vehicle and motorcycles were recovered including two locally fabricated master keys in his possession,” Hassan said.

Hassan said that the suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution after the completion of the investigation.

The image maker said the arrest was made possible through a tip-off from a Good Samaritan, adding that the individual reported that he was requested to assist in collecting a Lexus LX470 Jeep from a mechanic.

In another series of arrests made on June 21, the police spokesman also announced that operatives apprehended one Chinago Harrison, a suspected car thief around Manya Street, Ungwan Romi area of the Kaduna State.

Earlier in January, the state police command said its operatives arrested three suspected car snatchers.

Hassan said policemen attached to Zaria City Divisional Headquarters had, on December 23, 2023, arrested the suspects at Agoro-Tudun Wada Zaria.
