Sokoto State– The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the election victory of Ahmed Aliyu as Sokoto State governor.
Justice Tijani Abubakar, delivering the judgment, dismissed the appeal filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Saidu Umar.
The ruling solidifies Aliyu’s position as the duly elected governor, putting an end to the legal contestation surrounding the Sokoto State gubernatorial election.
