Bandits Kill 2 Kidnapped Victims For Failing To Pay N5m Ransom In Kaduna
Bandits’ leader collected N6m and the foodstuffs for the release of the three victims.
Kaduna State– Terrorists suspected to be bandits have killed two of 13 abducted victims in Azzara village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State over their failure to raise a N5 million ransom.
Recall that bandits, on April 3, 2024, invaded Azzara village, killed a community leader, Mr Philibus Andrew, and abducted 13 others, including a nursing mother.
Daily Trust reports that a resident of Azzara, Ibrahim Shehu, said the incident happened on Saturday after the leader of the bandits informed the relations of three of the victims who took ransom money and foodstuffs to them around the Rijana Forest.
He said the bandits’ leader collected N6m and the foodstuffs for the release of the three victims, including a nursing mother, but informed the relations that two among the victims had been killed since they could not raise an earlier N5m.
Shehu added the bandits also threatened to kill the remaining victims if their relations failed to pay their ransom within seven days.
