Boko Haram Rampage Leaves Dozens Dead, Houses Burnt Across Borgu, Agwara Communities In Niger State
The attackers stormed communities in Borgu Local Government Area and Agwara Local Government Area, killing residents and setting houses ablaze in multiple locations
Minna, Niger State – Suspected terrorists belonging to Boko Haram have reportedly killed dozens of residents in a coordinated attack across communities in Niger State, moving from town to town and village to village in a deadly Friday night rampage.
Afrika Eyes gathered that the attackers stormed communities in Borgu Local Government Area and Agwara Local Government Area, killing residents and setting houses ablaze in multiple locations.
Residents said the terrorists first invaded Konkoso on Friday night, where at least 21 people were reportedly killed during the assault.
The rampaging terrorists were also said to have attacked Pissa, Zango, and Tungan Makeri villages, killing residents and burning houses and shops in the affected communities.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers moved freely between the villages without resistance, unleashing violence on fleeing residents and destroying properties.
“They moved from one village to another, killing people and burning houses and shops. Many people are still missing,” another source said.
The exact number of casualties across the affected communities remains unclear, but the residents said the death toll could be significantly higher as search efforts continue.
As of the time of filing this report, there was no official statement from Niger State Government and security agencies on the death toll or arrest
