Bandits Abduct Scores In Fresh Kaduna Attack
The victims were men and suggested that there could be casualties
Kaduna State– Bandits have abducted a yet-to-be-ascertained number of residents in Angwar Danko village in Kakangi Constituency, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the bandits stormed the community in large numbers around 6 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, shooting sporadically before whisking their victims away.
A source said the abductees whose number he could not ascertain were marched into the forest by the hoodlums
Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, a representative for Kakangi Ward in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, who confirmed the incident said the numbers of the abductees are yet to be confirmed, adding that they are in their dozens.
“I just received a call from the area informing me that dozens of my constituents have been abducted. The bandits surrounded the village, and as we speak, they are still there, taking their victims into the forest.
Dan Salio expressed concern, noting that most of the victims were men and suggested that there could be casualties. He also stressed the urgent need for authorities to deploy more security checkpoints in the area to restrict the movement of bandits.
