The protesters accused Solace of exploiting his connection to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, to intimidate party members and create divisions within the local party structure.
They described his conduct as detrimental to the unity and progress of the party in the ward and called on the governor and the APC leadership in the state to caution him before his alleged actions cause further disunity.
One of the protesters, who spoke on behalf of the group, said: “We have enjoyed peace and harmony in our ward for years until Solace came and started using the names of the governor and the Speaker to intimidate people. We are loyal to the party and the governor, but we will not allow anyone to use their names to divide us.”
The protesters urged the Kwara State APC leadership to intervene and ensure that internal party matters are handled peacefully and in accordance with party principles.
