Kwara State Polytechnic Disowns Suspects In Club Owner Murder Case

Ilorin, Kwara State –  The Kwara State Polytechnic has officially disowned two suspects, Vandora Favour Oreoluwa Davies and Joseph Joy Adama, who were recently paraded as suspects in the murder of a local club owner, Adeniyi Ojo, at a hotel in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The suspects, Adama and Davies, were paraded before the media at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on October 11, Joseph Joy Adama claimed that she had completed her ND (National Diploma) program at Kwara Polytechnic before the unfortunate incident.

However, in a strongly-worded statement issued by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Halimat Garba, on October 12, the institution categorically denied any affiliation with the suspects.

The institution asserted that these individuals were not students and had no association with Kwara State Polytechnic.

“The management wishes to disclaim this discrediting and malicious news about the institution, stating that the suspects being paraded in Abuja by the Force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, are not students of Kwara State Polytechnic,” the statement read.

The statement continued, “Our database check showed that the two ladies had since been withdrawn from the school after their first years on account of poor academic performances. They have, therefore, ceased being students of our great institution.”

Furthermore, the institution emphasized that its students are known as ambassadors of the school, the state, and Nigeria as a whole, and would not be associated with any disgraceful or criminal activities.
