Three Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested In Jigawa

They further revealed that the vehicle already has been sold at Maradi city in Niger Republic

Jigawa State, Nigeria- The Jigawa State Police Command have arrested three armed robbery suspects in Ringim Local Government Area.

The spokesperson of the Jigawa State Police Command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, made the announcement in an official statement issued on Monday, October 2, 2023. He revealed that the police operation had resulted in the recovery of a beretta pistol and four rounds of ammunition from the suspects, further ensuring the safety of the community.

“On 28/09/2023 at about 0930hrs, one Sagiru Musa ‘m’ age 30yrs of Kakikankare village in Ringim LGA of Jigawa State, reported at the Ringim Police Station that on the same date at about 0030hrs, unknown armed men numbering about four, criminally trespassed into his house and went to away with his motor vehicle golf 3 wagon green in color with registration number RNG 691 AA Jigawa State, valued at one million eight hundred naira only (#1, 800, 000.00k), two (2) tecno phone keypad.”

“He further stated that his ATM card, Voter card, National I.D card, Custom duty, Vigilante I.D. card, and vehicle particulars are also kept in the said stolen vehicle.

“On receipt of the report, the detective from Ringim Division swiftly swung into action. On October 01st, 2023, One Yakubu Adamu ‘m’ age 30yrs, Hamisu Adamu ‘m’ age 34yrs all of Narewa village, Ringim LGA, and one Abubakar Sani ‘m’ age 28yrs of Yankaba Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State were arrested and recovered one Beretta pistol with four ammunition in their possession.

“On interrogation, both Yakubu and Abubakar confessed to having participated in the offence allegedly against them.

They further revealed that the vehicle already has been sold at Maradi city in Niger Republic.

“Efforts have already been made to arrest the remaining suspects and recover the stolen vehicle.”
