Suspect Flees As Katsina Security Team Seizes 610 Rounds Of Ammunition
Despite observing a suspect dressed in white robes exhibiting suspicious behaviour, he managed to escape during the operation.
Katsina State- The Katsina State Community Watch Corps intercepted a commercial vehicle loaded with a significant amount of ammunition in Batsari town on Tuesday evening.
Acting on a tip-off, the security outfit halted the vehicle with number plate BTR 45 XA around 7:30 PM.
Upon inspection, they found 610 rounds of ammunition, including AK-47 and General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) rounds, and two magazines hidden under a seat.

The Katsina State government commended the Community Watch Corps for their alertness and commitment to upholding peace and security in the region.
However, Dr Nasir Mu’azu, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, pledged continued support and enhancement of security agencies’ capabilities to tackle crime effectively.
