Senator Saliu Mustapha Empowers 200 Kwara Central Youths Wth Solar Power Installation Skills
Beneficiaries were selected from the four local government areas within the Kwara Central Senatorial District.
Ilorin, Kwara State– The lawmaker representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has empowered 200 youths in his constituency through a three-day intensive training on solar power installation and maintenance.
The initiative, which began on October 17, 2024, was organized in collaboration with the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI).
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Senator Mustapha, represented by his legislative aide Tunde Abdulkadir, disclosed hat the program aimed to equip young people with valuable life skills.
Mustapha explaned that beneficiaries were selected from the four local government areas within the Kwara Central Senatorial District.
As part of the initiative, participants will receive start-up tools, enabling them to engage in solar system installation and maintenance, contributing to sustainable energy solutions in the region.
Senator Mustapha emphasized his commitment to supporting youth development and creating employment opportunities in his constituency.
He, however, appealed to the beneficiaries to take the training seriously by utilising the opportunity provided by the training so as to be useful to themselves, families and the society.
Also, speaking at the event,, Alh. Dan Musa, who is one of the trainers at the event, revealed that the beneficiaries had been equipped with the necessary skills for solar installations and maintenance.
While commending Senator Mustapha for his efforts in empowering youths in his constituency, he urged the beneficiaries to value the opportunity provided by the lawmaker.
On his part, the representative of Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), Dr. Ayodele Olowogbayi, commended Senator Mustapha for his commitment in Youth Development, he urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the skills acquired and the tools that will be given to them.
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the senator for the program, noting that the training had equipped them with valuable skills in Solar Power Installation and Maintenance.
They prayed to God Almighty to grant Senator Mustapha the zeal to continue doing more for the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District.
