Security Guard Remanded In Kirikiri For Allegedly Defiling Neighbor’s Daughter

Chief Magistrate Mrs Bola Osunsanmi did not take Ibrahim’s plea due to jurisdictional issues

Ikeja, Lagos State- Bashiru Ibrahim, a 31-year-old security guard, has been remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defiling his neighbor’s daughter.

Ibrahim, who lives at 2 CMCM Church St., Ojodu Berger, Lagos, faces charges of defilement.

Chief Magistrate Mrs Bola Osunsanmi did not take Ibrahim’s plea due to jurisdictional issues and has instructed the police to send the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.

The case is scheduled to resume on September 12, pending the DPP’s guidance.

Prosecutor ASP Raji Akeem informed the court that the alleged offense, which involves a five-year-old girl, took place on June 25.
