Residents Blocked Roads, Protest Over High Living Cost In Minna

Minna, Niger State– Residents of Minna, the capital of Niger State, have expressed their frustration on Monday by staging a protest against the exorbitant cost of living in the country.
The demonstrators, comprising women and youths, took to major roads in the metropolis, chanting protest songs while security agents, including policemen, observed the scene.
The protesters voiced concerns about the escalating prices of food items and criticized the government for what they perceived as inadequate efforts to address the situation.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to make their grievances heard, they blocked major roads, hoping for a response from the government.
Deputy Governor Yakubu Garba addressed the protesters and appealed to them.
He said that the government is aware of their pain and they are working towards alleviating the difficulties being experienced in the country.
