Police Invite Ex-Governor El-Rufai, ADC Leaders Over Alleged Criminal Conspiracy In Kaduna

The police stated that the invitation followed petitions alleging the involvement of the former governor and the other party members in activities capable of disturbing public peace

Kaduna State- The Kaduna State Police Command has invited former governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, alongside several leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for questioning over allegations bordering on criminal conspiracy, incitement of public disturbance, mischief, and causing grievous hurt.

In an official letter dated 4th September 2025 and signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department, DCP Uzainu Abdullahi, the party’s Kaduna chairman was directed to present El-Rufai and six other members before investigators on 8th September 2025.

Those listed for questioning include Bashir Sa’idu, Jafaru Sani, Ubaidullah Mohammed (a.k.a 30), Nasiru Maikano, Aminu Abita, and Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini (a.k.a Mikiya).

The police stated that the invitation followed petitions alleging the involvement of the former governor and the other party members in activities capable of disturbing public peace.

The statement read, “Thus Department is currently investigating the above mentioned case involving the following members of your party. You are requested to come along with them to SCID to clarify allegations reported against them by the complainants on 8th September, 2025.
