Oyin Zubair Grace SEAP 22nd Anniversary In Kwara

The direct and auto beneficiaries of the project are the people from the grassroots

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Community Intervention, Kayode Oyin Zubair on Monday, grace the 22nd year anniversary of the Self Reliance Economic Advancement Programme (SEAP).

SEAP is a non-governmental organisation Microfinance Institution that has successfully placed the Nigerian microfinance sector on the global scheme.

The event held its symbolic flag hoisting ceremony across Nigeria, which is aimed at promoting sustainable livelihood and bridging the development gap between the rural and urban communities toward solid financial and economic empowerment held at Rhema Chaple, Tanke Ilorin, Kwara State.

In the welcome address, Mr Kayode thanks the management of SEAP for enriching and uplifting the people at the grassroots.

Expressing his goodwill message he said the partnership of Kwara State Government under the leadership of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and SEAP Microfinance, the state government have annexed 200 million nairas in the interest of Kwarans.

He further explained that his office, Community Intervention has also annexed about 500 million, the first community intervention project with SEAP microfinance was 100 units of tricycles worth 92 million while the second phase of the project was 50 Minibuses worth 120 million.

Mr Zubair said the direct and auto beneficiaries of the project are the people from the grassroots, adding that the government have created over 200 jobs through transport intervention alone.

According to him, “A family man who drives a tricycle will have a family member to feed, meanwhile, in North-East they joined four people with one tricycle, but here in Kwara, under AbdulRazaq Leadership it is one per person.

He expressed confidence that the state government would continue to promote an enabling business, economic and financial environment in Kwara.

Earlier in his remarks, the Executive Director, SEAP, Deacon Olatunde Oladokun (JP), stated that the SEAP’s mission is to bridge the development gap between the rural and urban communities toward solid financial and economic empowerment.

He commended the efforts of the State government through the office of Senior Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Community Intervention, Mr Zubair, said the government stands as a guarantor for the tricycle beneficiaries, he recognised the fact that all the beneficiaries have never defaulted.

Also, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Job Creation, Aliyu Hassan Esq commends SEAP for the job creation in the State, stating that SEAP has tremendously contributed to the development of the State.
