NYSC Member Stripped Naked, Assaulted By Vigilante Group In Anambra, Rights Foundation Demands Justice
Members of the vigilante group were seen beating Elohor, stripping her naked, and brandishing guns while hurling degrading words at her.
Awka, Anambra State– A female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), identified as Jennifer Edema Elohor, has been brutally assaulted and stripped naked by operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, also known as the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, in Anambra State.
In a disturbing video obtained by Afrika Eyes, members of the vigilante group were seen beating Elohor, stripping her naked, and brandishing guns while hurling degrading words at her.
According to the Haven360 Foundation, which is advocating for the victims, the incident occurred on July 23, 2025, when the vigilante operatives stormed a corps lodge, accusing corps members of engaging in cybercrime despite their immediate presentation of NYSC identity cards and uniforms.
“The assault on Jennifer was particularly egregious. She was beaten, stripped naked, left bleeding, and subjected to sexually degrading threats and actions,” the foundation said in a statement.
The organisation condemned the act as a gross human rights violation and called on the Anambra State Government to identify and prosecute the perpetrators.
It also urged the Federal Government to step in and ensure justice is served, while demanding reparations and compensation for the victims.
“We will deploy every resource available and allowed by law to fight this matter until justice prevails. We call on civil society, influencers, and all Nigerians to stand in solidarity with the victims,” the Haven360 Foundation stated.
The group further confirmed that its legal team is already working with the victims and their families to prevent the case from being “swept under the carpet.”
