Notorious Lakurawa Gunmen Kill Two Immigration Officers, Civilian In Kebbi

Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State — At least two immigration officers and one civilian have been killed by the Lakurawa armed group in Kangiwa Local Government Area of Kebbi State on Saturday.

According to Vanguard, by 2 p.m. on Saturday, a crowd had gathered at Sir Yahya Memorial Hospital in Birnin Kebbi, where a Hilux vehicle carrying three bodies was parked.
Immigration officers stationed at the scene declined to speak to journalists.
Efforts to reach Kebbi Police spokesperson SP Nafiu Abubakar and his Immigration counterpart were unsuccessful, as they neither answered calls nor responded to text messages.
As of now, neither the Immigration Service nor the Police have issued an official statement on the recent attack in Lakurawa.
