Modibbo-Kawu, Buhari Make Cabinet List As Kwara Gov Names New Aides
Buhari is a newbie who comes with a strong local support
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday, nominated two commissioners.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, obtained by Afrika Eyes, disclosed that the commissioner nominees are Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu from Ilorin South and Abubakar Sadiq Buhari from Edu local government of Kwara State.
According to Mr Ajakaye, Modibbo-Kawu is a cabinet returnee renowned for her strengths, Buhari is a newbie who comes with a strong local support, commitment to the administration’s programmes, and a good network of admirers across the new media milieu.
“He was until his appointment the representative of Kwara North at the National Youth Parliament.”
The Governor meanwhile has appointed new special assistants: Mohammed Alhassan (Agric, North); Mohammed Qazeem Abdullahi (Agric, Central); Ismail Belle (Transport, North); Adewara Olugbenga (Teacher, South); Kawala Isiaka Olalabi (Teacher, Central); Shola Babatunde Richard Alayoyo (Agric, South); Rashidat Ayobami Olateju (Urban Market, South); and Umulkhaera Ahmed Alaye (Urban Market, Central).
He, however, said the appointments of the Special Assistants are with immediate effect.
