Mass Kidnapping: Zamfara University Students Abducted
As of now, neither the school authorities nor the state police command have issued any official statements regarding this distressing incident.
In the early morning hours of Friday, September 22, suspected bandits carried out a brazen abduction of an unspecified number of students from the Federal University of Gusau.
According to reports, a significant group of armed bandits descended upon the Sabon-Gida community in the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, commencing a spree of indiscriminate shooting at approximately 3 a.m.
The criminals targeted three separate student hostels, forcibly seizing the students residing there.
An eyewitness reported, “They entered the town around 3 a.m. and started shooting indiscriminately.
“We have yet to confirm the exact count of kidnapped students due to the bandits’ intrusion into three different hostels. Ascertaining their precise numbers is currently a challenging task.”
