Gunmen Abduct Governor Sule’s Aide In Lafia
The attackers were said to have stormed the area, firing gunshots into the air to scare residents before whisking him away.
Lafia, Nasarawa State– Gunmen have allegedly kidnapped Muhammed Egye Osolafia, popularly known as Deedat, the Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State.
Osolafia was reportedly abducted on Saturday night shortly after arriving at his residence in Tudun Amba, a community in Lafia, the state capital.
The attackers were said to have stormed the area, firing gunshots into the air to scare residents before whisking him away.
Confirming the incident, Governor Sule’s Senior Special Adviser on Public Affairs, Peter Ahemba, described the abduction as “sad and unfortunate,” noting that he got the information from a fellow government official.
DailyPost reports that just two months ago, Barrister Yusuf Musa, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Culture, was abducted from his residence in Ungwan Nungu, also in Lafia.
The Nasarawa State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the abduction.
