Lagos Father Arrested For Killing Son Over Misplaced Sewing Thread

Ikeja, Lagos State- Lagos State police have arrested a man for allegedly killing his eight-year-old son over a misplaced sewing thread in the Epe area of the state.
The suspect, who has yet to be identified, reportedly became enraged when he discovered that his sewing thread had been misplaced by his son. In a fit of anger, he doused the child in petrol, causing severe distress.
The petrol led the boy to vomit white substances, prompting the father to administer palm oil in an attempt to alleviate the pain.
However, the child lost consciousness and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police, confirmed the arrest and stated that an autopsy will be conducted on the child’s remains.
The suspect is set to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba for further investigation.
