Kwara PDP Accuses AbdulRazaq Govt Of Spending 1 Billion On Potholes
We were privy to a figure of almost 1billion naira budgeted for road repairs in the year 2020 according to the non Governmental Organization Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD).
The Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have accused Mal. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for spending 1 billion nairas on potholes and hurried window dressing in preparation for the Eid-el Kabir and the Ilorin Durbar event in the state.
Recalled last week that the distinguished senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial district, Dr. Yahaya Oloriegbe described the Government and governor Mal. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq being of treacherous.
In a statement released by the Kwara State PDP Publicity Secretary, Prince ‘Tunji Moronfoye, said the incompetent state government led by Mal. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has consistently budgeted hundreds of millions for roads repair every single budget year since its inception in 2019.

According to him, “We were privy to a figure of almost 1billion naira budgeted for road repairs in the year 2020 according to the non Governmental Organization Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD). We are still wondering what happened to the budgeted figures as roads in Kwara state have gone from being motorable to death traps in a space of 3 years of the incompetent mediocre regime, we have had the unfortunate luck to be saddled with.”
“At this late hour, we see the Kwara State APC party regime begin a hurried unsuccessful attempt at window dressing the state. The road to the Eid praying ground is being given a facelift and potholes of selected roads in the metropolis are being filled.”

“We jointly pray that the Kwara state government does not cancel the Durbar event suddenly like it did last year. We hope the state governor will not cause another colossal financial loss to the economy of Kwara state on a whim. We at the PDP wish all kwarans a wonderful and safe Eid-el Kabir celebration,” he said.
He, however, stated that the long overgrown road medians grass is being mowed because Kwara State is expecting lots of visitors, and wonders if the people who live in the state do not deserve good roads and a neat environment
