Internet Fraud Suspect Tortures Lagos Apprentices Over Unmet Targets
The victims were tortured and deprived of their freedom.
Police in Lagos State Arrest Suspected Internet Fraudster, Precious Mayor, a suspected Internet fraudster, on charges of reportedly subjecting his apprentices to torture in Igbogbo, within the Ikorodu area of the state.
It was gathered that the victims, who had travelled from Imo State seeking instruction in cyber fraud from Mayor, were allegedly subjected to torture.

However, after failing to meet their targets within just a few days of their apprenticeship, Mayor allegedly confined them to a room and subjected them to physical harm.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, August 26, 2023, and said the suspect, Precious Mayor, was arrested along with his wife, Emmanuela Mayor, and two other accomplices, Prince Afam and Israel Simon.

“The victims were tortured and deprived of their freedom. The arrested suspects have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department,” Hundeyin said.
