Gunmen Kill Three NSCDC Personnel In Nigeria’s South-East

Suspected  gunmen have allegedly killed three personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Imo State.

It was gathered that the incident happened at EkeIsu market in Obiangwu Community in the Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of the state has thrown the community into panic.

The Imo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has confirmed the killing of two of its men by bandits in Obiangwu in the Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

The state spokesman for the corps, Chimeziri Noel, said the NSCDC officers were attacked and killed by bandits in the early hours of Monday, adding that their bodies had been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre in Owerri.

The spokesman noted that security has been beefed up in the area.

He said an investigation has kicked off into the unfortunate incident, and the command with the assistance of other security agencies has activated a search party to go after the hoodlums.
