Gunmen Attack Police Checkpoint, Kill 2 Officers In Enugu

Unknown gunmen on Sunday attacked a checkpoint and shot two policemen dead in Uwani, Enugu State.

A viral video making the round on social media shows the two police officers in pools of blood on the ground and inside the gutter.

It was gathered that the attack occurred at a police checkpoint between Kenyatta market and the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, (UNEC) stadium gate around 12: pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

The gunmen, on arrival, were said to have opened fire on the officers who were manning the checkpoint, killing two of them at the spot.
