Gunmen Kill Another Miyetti Allah Member In Kwara, Days After Chairman’s Murder

The deceased was killed on Tuesday in Kanbi town along the Ilorin-Jebba highway in Moro Local Government Area.

Ilorin, Kwara State – Gunmen have reportedly killed another member of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Kwara State.

The victim, identified as Dabe, was also a vigilante member.

Afrika Eyes gathered that the deceased was killed on Tuesday in Kanbi town along the Ilorin-Jebba highway in Moro Local Government Area.

This fresh assassination comes just days after the killing of the association’s chairman, Idris Abubakar, who was shot dead in front of his residence in Oke-Ose, Oke-Oyi town, Ilorin East Local Government Area, on Saturday night.

The Kwara State Police Command has not confirmed any arrests or the possible motive behind the attacks.

However, Kwara residents have expressed concerns over the rising insecurity in the state, urging authorities to take immediate action to prevent further violence.

Previously Afrika Eyes reported that suspected gunmen have reportedly shot and killed the leader of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Kwara State, Alhaji Idris Abubakar Sakaina, in Ilorin.

It was gathered that the attack occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday in front of his residence in Oke Ose, Ilorin.

It was gathered that the assailants ambushed him and shot him at close range before fleeing the scene, leaving him in a pool of blood.

Eyewitness, Aina’u Sarki said, “I was with him 20 minutes before he was killed. Someone called me on the phone and told me he had been shot dead.”

The Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Inter-Community Relations (Fulani), Muhammed Abdullahi, confirmed the incident on Sunday morning.

“Yes, he was killed in front of his residence on Saturday night by gunmen who left him for dead,” Abdullahi said. “We are preparing for his janaza as I speak, but the police were here yesterday and have begun an investigation.”

The deceased, 32, was a former Special Assistant to the Moro Local Government Chairman and a Youth Leader of the Fulani community in Kwara.
