Gunmen Attack Delta Police Station, Kill Officer

A group of unidentified gunmen launched an attack on the Isiokolo Divisional Police station, killed a Policeman on Thursday night, at Isiokolo, headquarters of Ethiope East local government area, Delta state.

Another policeman was injured in the attack carried out by gunmen on motorbikes.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident and added that the injured policeman is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

“No police rifle was stolen at the station. Some persons were shot at the Police station, one policeman died and another was hospitalised.”
