His reign of terror intensified during Ramadan, with reports suggesting he killed at least one person daily as part of a so-called “personal obligation.”

In the weeks leading up to his death, Kachallah orchestrated multiple attacks, including: “A twin assault on Tsafe town, killing the local government security chief and vigilante members.

“Daily ambushes along the Tsafe-Yankara highway, targeting travelers in up to seven attacks per day and coordinated raids on rural communities, burning homes, and displacing entire villages.

Military officers involved in the mission described the final battle as a four-day operation that forced Kachallah’s men into disarray.

“We knew the battle was over when his men started fleeing,” a military source stated.

The Nigerian military has vowed to sustain its offensive against criminal elements in the region, ensuring that Kachallah’s network does not regroup.

His downfall has brought a sense of relief to residents, but security forces remain on high alert to prevent further insurgent activities.
