BREAKING: Terrorists Raid Kwara Church, Kill Three Worshippers, Abduct Pastor, Others In Eruku Community

Three members were killed instantly as panic swept through the congregation.

Ilorin, Kwara State– Terrorists stormed a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku town, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing three worshippers and abducting several others, including the pastor, during a Tuesday evening service.

Sources told Afrika Eyesthat the attackers stormed the church during a programme, shooting sporadically before opening fire directly on worshippers.

Three members were killed instantly as panic swept through the congregation.

“The gunmen came into the church while people were gathered. They started shooting and three people died immediately,” a source told Afrika Eyes.

“They later rounded up some worshippers, including the pastor, and marched them into the bush.”

The exact number of abducted victims remains unknown, but residents say the attackers fled through bush paths linking neighbouring communities.

Afrika Eyes had earlier reported that terror spread across Eruku township in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Tuesday evening as terrorists launched a violent attack, forcing travellers and residents to abandon vehicles and homes while scampering into the surrounding bushes for safety.

Sources told Afrika Eyes that the attackers stormed the community in large numbers, shooting sporadically as they advanced through parts of the town.

Residents said the invasion threw the entire area into chaos, with gunfire echoing for several minutes as people ran in different directions.

An eyewitness, a traveller returning from Niger State, recorded a distressing voice note while hiding in the bush. In a panic-filled tone, he described how passengers had to jump out of their vehicles and flee.

“This is 18-11-2025. I was on my way from Federal Ibida in Niger State, coming through Ilorin. We suddenly ran into them. Everybody has abandoned their cars and scattered into the bush. They are shooting… can you hear the gunshots?

“Please come to our rescue. Police should come. We are in trouble. Everybody is in the bush. They are already in the town now. People are running everywhere. Please help us.”

Multiple travellers could be seen in the video rushing through the bushes and calling for security intervention as gunshots rang in the background.

Residents told Afrika Eyes that parts of the community had been overtaken, as the attackers reportedly moved from one section of the town to another, firing at intervals.
