BREAKING: Portable Surrenders Self After Declared Wanted By Nigerian Police 

The Ogun State Police Command is set to take custody of the embattled artist following his recent declaration as wanted by law enforcement authorities.

Ikeja , Lagos State– Popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has turned himself in at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba, Lagos State.

The Ogun State Police Command is set to take custody of the embattled artist following his recent declaration as wanted by law enforcement authorities.

The controversial singer’s legal troubles stem from an altercation involving three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office.

The officials—Onabanjo Abidemi, Raymond Lateef, and Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi—were reportedly conducting an enforcement exercise in the Oke-Osa area of Tigbo Ilu, Ota, when they were confronted by Portable and his gang.

According to reports, the town planners had initially encountered an elderly man at Odogwu Bar, later identified as Portable’s father.

However, the officials had requested to see the singer, who was said to be absent at the time. However, shortly after, Portable allegedly arrived at the scene, armed with a firearm and other weapons, leading a group of nine thugs in an assault on the unarmed officials.

In an attempt to defend himself against the allegations, Portable has claimed that he is mentally unstable and currently receiving treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta.

Meanwhile, the law enforcement authorities have proceeded with the case, with the Ogun Police Command now set to take further action.
