BREAKING: Gov Abba Yusuf Reappoints  Muhammadu Sanusi II As Emir of Kano

Kano State– Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf reappointed Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano on Thursday.

The announcement came during a ceremony at the Government House, where Governor Yusuf signed the amended Kano Emirate Law.

Solace base reports that the governor signed the law at exactly 5:10 pm alongside his deputy, the Speaker of the State Assembly and other principal officers in the government.

Afrikae Eyes reported earlier that the Majority Leader of the Kano State House of Assembly, Lawan Hussaini Chediyar Yan Gurasa, who sponsored the Amendment Bill, shortly after Thursday’s session, revealed to journalists that the bill has been sent to the governor for assent.

It could be recalled that former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje had dethroned Muhammadu Sanusi in 2020, following a personal rift.
