Bauchi Governor Appoints Elder Brother As Emir Of Duguri Emirate
The new emir pledged loyalty to the Bauchi State government and the Bauchi Emirate Council.
Bauchi State- Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has appointed his elder brother, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, as the Emir of the newly created Duguri Emirate.
The appointment was formalized on Friday when the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Aminu Hammayo, presented the appointment letter to Alhaji Adamu at a ceremony held at the Duguri palace in Alkaleri Local Government Area.
During the event, the SSG urged the new emir to support government policies and programs aimed at sustainable growth and development.
In response, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for the honor and prayed for Allah’s blessings on the governor.
The new emir pledged loyalty to the Bauchi State government and the Bauchi Emirate Council.
At the same ceremony, Hammayo also presented the appointment letter to the new Emir of Bununu, Alhaji Jibrin D. Hassan.
The SSG encouraged him to uphold the rule of law, promote unity among all tribes, and ensure peace within his domain.
Alhaji Jibrin Hassan thanked the governor for the appointment and promised to serve both the government and the people diligently.
