Mina, Niger State- At least 200 persons are feared missing following a boat mishap on the Dambo-Ebuchi section of River Niger on Friday morning.

However, a local divers, leading ongoing rescue efforts, have so far recovered eight bodies.
TheCable reports that Ibrahim Hussaini, spokesperson for the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, stated that he had not yet been briefed on the incident.
Hussaini added that investigations into the alleged mishap are ongoing.
This incident occurs less than two months after a boat accident claimed 42 lives in the Gbajibo community of Mokwa LGA, Niger State.
