Gunmen Shoot Hotelier Dead, Kidnap Friend In Kwara Community

Gunmen have reportedly murdered Kayode Akinyemi, a hotelier in the Alomilaya area of Ganmo Community, and the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Afrika Eyes gathered that the gunmen shot indiscriminately, and killed the owner of the hotel and his manager Emmanuel Olushila Ojo, who was seriously injured and presently receiving treatment at the general hospital Ilorin.

A statement issued by the Kwara Police spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, said one of the friends of the owner of the hotel who was with him on the day of incident was however abducted.

According to him “The Kwara Command’s Tactical teams in conjunction with vigilante and hunters have since been mobilized to the scene to comb the surrounding bushes for possible rescue of the victim and arrest of the hoodlums.

However, the commissioner of police in Kwara State, CP Tuesday has declared a total and result-oriented manhunt for the perpetrators of the heinous act, stating that enough was enough for the criminals.

He assured that the perpetrators will be brought to book.
