‘Go Find Your Father’ — Davido Reacts As Alleged Daughter Publicly Demands DNA Test, Says Her Mother Will Soon Go To Jail

Ikeja, Lagos State– Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted following a public demand by a 12-year-old girl, Mitchelle Anuoluwapo, who claims he is her biological father and has called for a DNA test to establish her identity.

The paternity dispute, which has lingered on social media for several years, resurfaced prominently on Thursday after the teenager took to Instagram to share an emotional and deeply personal account of her life, detailing the psychological trauma she said she has endured as a result of the unresolved claim.

In a lengthy post written in her own words, Anuoluwapo said she decided to speak out as she prepares to transition into her teenage years, stressing that her decision was not influenced by her relatives.

“This year I become a teenager. My mom and grandma have always educated me on being a responsible teen. No drugs, alcohol, bad company and bad behavior,” she wrote.

“Today I drafted a letter I wrote from the depth of my heart, not with help from my relatives.”

The young girl said she has struggled for years with bullying and ridicule from classmates who mocked her whenever she mentioned that Davido was her father.

“As I grow older I want to establish my identity. I was bullied in school since I was 6-years-old and cried home daily. Other students laughed at me when I told them my father was Mr David Adeleke,” she stated.

According to her, the situation took a serious toll on her mental health, forcing her and her family to seek professional help.

“I went through a lot of mental anguish and visited a medical professional to protect my mental health. It was a sad challenging time in my life,” she wrote.

She further explained that the Instagram account through which she made the appeal had been inactive for years, as her mother had stopped updating it, noting that the family had tried to stay away from public attention.

“This page was not online for 5 years as my mom never updated this account since it was handed over to us. We went through a lot,” she added.

In a direct appeal to the singer, the teenager said she was respectfully requesting a DNA test solely to establish her identity.

“As I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Mr David Adeleke Singer #davido for a DNA test to establish my identity,” she wrote.

“This test is between my dad and I. It is something I want. It is something that’s the right thing to do. Please, sir, consider my request once you read this post. I also sent it to your DM.”

She also thanked Nigerians who, according to her, have offered emotional support over the years.

“Thank you to all Nigerians who have given me emotional support for the last 7 years. This DNA test is the right thing to do for me,” she concluded.

However, Davido responded swiftly and angrily, insisting that the matter had long been settled and denying any biological connection to the child.

Reacting in the comment section of the post, the singer dismissed the claim outright, stating that he had already undergone multiple DNA tests, all of which returned negative results.

“I’ve taken 5 DNA tests, all negative. I am not your father,” Davido wrote.

“Never met your mom. She’s an obsessed fan lying to you. This needs to stop. I actually have children. Stop this nonsense.”

The award-winning artist also took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to further vent his frustration, alleging that the repeated claims amounted to harassment.

“After 5 DNA test … she dey crase .. her and her mom better leave me the f#ck alone and go find her papa,” he posted.

In a series of follow-up posts, Davido alleged misconduct on the part of the girl’s mother and suggested she should face legal consequences.

“Never met the … except when went for the DNA … very stup!d behavior. I will soon treat their FK … 5 f#cking hospitals just to be clear .. the mom needs to go to jail … I don’t blame the poor girl,” he wrote.

Davido further claimed that the DNA tests were conducted at multiple medical facilities to eliminate any doubt, saying both parties were allowed to choose hospitals independently.

“I chose 3 hospitals and they chose their own two hospitals .. all came out negative .. this is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense,” he added.

As of the time of filing this report, no legal action has been confirmed by either party, and the girl’s family has not issued an official response to Davido’s latest statements.
