21 Dead, Three Injured in Abuja-Kaduna Expressway Road Accident

It was gathered that the incident, which involved a trailer truck and a passenger Hummer bus traveling to Kano and Batsari town in Katsina State.
According to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the accident occurred early in the day, resulting in the immediate death of 21 passengers.
The survivors, who suffered various degrees of injuries, were promptly rushed to the Umaru Musa Memorial Hospital in Sabon-Wuse for urgent medical treatment.
The FRSC officials confirmed that the remains of the deceased passengers were deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
He explained that the accident occurred near a route diversion, which had forced motorists from both directions to share a single lane.
It was reported that the driver of the articulated vehicle fled the scene, abandoning his truck and another container-laden vehicle, obstructing the busy road.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Tafa Division, S.P Idris Ibrahim, confirmed the incident, stating that he was in the process of preparing his report for the state command.
