Sen Mustapha Distributes Multimillion Naira Food As Palliative To Constituents

The distribution of these items is to lessen the hardship in the country and support our Christian faithful

Ilorin, Kwara State– Senator representing Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha on Saturday commenced the distribution of multimillion Naira worth of food palliatives to thousands of constituents spread across the 52 wards in the senatorial district.

Alhaji AbdulKadri Tunde, Legislative Assistant (LA) to the lawmaker, disclosed this during the distribution of the palliatives, said the items primarily target the less privileged members of the society, political loyalists across the wards and LGAs of the district, community and religious stakeholders, with special provisions for adherents of the Christian faith.

According to him, the items consist of several thousands of bags of rice and other food commodities.

He said the gesture was to assist the beneficiaries to have memorable festivities considering the skyrocketing prices of food communities in the country, which are the major items mostly needed for the festive period.

Mr Tunde added that the items distributed were in furtherance of his principal’s passion to identify with the people, particularly those on the rung of the ladder in the society.

He also said it’s a token of support for the Kwara State Government led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who has invested heavily in the provision of palliatives in recent times.

“The distribution of these items is to lessen the hardship in the country and support our Christian faithful, party leaders and members across the wards, our supporters and less privileged for them to have a joyous celebration during this festive period.

“We all know the cost of rice and chicken in the market now, and that is why the senator approved the distribution of these items amongst our people to alleviate their sufferings,” he said.
