Court Sentences Ojulari To 10 Years Imprisonment

Ilorin, Kwara State– A High Court in Kwara of Nigeria sitting at Ilorin has convicted and sentenced one Abolaji Shafii, popularly known as Ojulari to 10 years in prison over unlawful possession of firearms and affiliation with a secret cult.

The convict was charged with illegal possession of firearms punishable under section 1(2) (a) and section 3(1) of the Robbery and Firearm (special provision Act, laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 (as amended).

It would be recalled that Ojulari was arrested at the APC rally held at Oju Ekun Sarumi ward on January 29, 2023, the court found him guilty of having two locally made pistols and one live cartridge during the political event.

Justice Mahmoud Abdulgafar Gafar’s ruling sentenced Ojulari to 10 years imprisonment for the offense of illegal possession of a fireman.
