Two Suspects Arrested For Tricycle Theft In Adamawa

An investigation conducted led to the recovery of the stolen tricycle.

Yola, Adamawa State – Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested two suspects, Zaro Irimiya and Samaila Obadiah, for allegedly stealing a tricycle in Yola.

The arrest was made public by the spokesperson of the Adamawa State Police Command, Superintendent Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, in an official statement released on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

According to the PPRO, the command on November 6, received a report from one Emmanuel Philibus, a resident of Damare Yelwa Quarters, Yola South Local Government Area that his tricycle with Reg. No. YLA 169 VE was stolen by unknown persons.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, viewed the report seriously. Hence he deployed officers of the Command to detect, trace, arrest and investigate the report,” the statement read.

“Detectives of the Command attached to Yola Area Command, on the 14/11/2023 arrested two Suspects identified as Zaro Irimiya and Samaila Obadiah all residents of Salti Village and Yelwa – Damare of Numan/Yola South Local Government Areas in connection to the crime,”

An investigation conducted led to the recovery of the stolen tricycle.

The suspects will be prosecuted accordingly, the statement added.
