The Organized Labor’s action was prompted by the recent brutalization of NLC National President, Joe Ajaero, in Imo State last week.

Meanwhile, the Organized Labor has expressed widespread outrage, accusing the Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Mohammed Barde, of complicity in the recent attack on Ajaero in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.

Last Friday, Organized Labor issued a five-day ultimatum to the Federal Government, demanding the replacement of the police commissioner. They also attributed the attack on Ajaero to Governor Hope Uzodimma, who is seeking re-election, although the governor has denied any involvement in the attack on the labor leader.
