38-Year-Old School Watchman Commits Suicide

Gombe State – A 38-year-old watchman, Mallam Abdullahi Ardo, attached to the Child Care Development Primary School in Tudun Wada, Gombe, allegedly committed suicide on Monday, November 6.

The spokesperson of the Gombe State Police Command, Mahid Muazu Abubakar, confirmed the unfortunate incident a statement shared on his official social media account.

According to Abubakar, the watchman was found lifeless, having hung himself by using a piece of rag tied to a swinging pole within the school premises. The discovery was made in the early hours of Monday morning.

“A 38-year-old Mallam Abdullahi Ardo attached to Child Care Development Primary School as a watchman, was suspected to have committed suicide in the early hours of Monday, by hanging himself using a piece of rag on a swinging pole within the school at Tudun Wada qtrs Gombe.”
