BREAKING: Armed Robbers Invade Banks In Benue
They are robbed First Bank and Zenith Bank simultaneously.
Makurdi, Benue State – Panic and chaos engulfed the ancient city of Otukpo on Friday as armed robbers raided two banks, as residents fled in different directions for safety.
Eyewitnesses recounted that the armed robbers invaded the banks precisely at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and operated unchallenged until around 4:50 pp.m
An anonymous resident said, “They are robbed of First Bank and Zenith Bank simultaneously. They stormed the banks at 3:30 p.m.m Two vigilantes have been killed as we speak. Gunshots are echoing everywhere, and if you listen carefully, you can hear the sound. The location of this heinous act is directly opposite the police station. This is the first time we are experiencing such a dreadful incident.”
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Catherine Anene has not released any statement regarding the incident.
