2023 Election: Family Goes Spiritual, Pray For Aluko Success
A member of the party described Aluko as the bridge-builder.
The All Progressives Candidate for Ilorin South/East Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko‘s home country was turned into a mecca in a special prayer session organized by the Ikokoro family geared towards a successful outing for their son.
The event took place on Saturday, as multitudes of supporters and dignitaries from various divides across the state trooped out.
Afrika Eyes gathered that the event was hosted by the Patriarch of the Ikokoro family ably represented by the Imam of the family, Sheik Eyitayo Ahmad Ikokoro and the council of Ulamaus, led by the Khalifat Sakama.
Two different sermons were delivered by Sheik Umar Farouq Sohibul-bayan and Sheik Sulyman Kasandubu.
Sheik Suleiman Kasandubu describes Aluko as an illustrious son of the community who has contributed immensely to the development of the community. He urges him to continue the cherished value he’s known for, by prioritising the unity of the family as well as the wellness and growth of people in the community and state in general.
In his remark, Mr Nurudeen Olanrewaju describes Aluko as a rare politician whose love for the growth of his people is uncommon in the community.
A member of the party described him as a bridge-builder. He explained that Aluko is one of the reasons some of them remain in APC and his underground intervention has in no small measure continued to calm the fraying nerves in the APC family.
According to him, the mammoth crowd that graced today’s event speaks volumes of his pragmatism. He added.
Hon. Yinka Aluko earlier expresses his heartfelt appreciation to all the Ulamus, the Royal Fathers and the traditional chiefs, the state party executive, the Local Government and Wards executives, as well as all members of the APC family.
Mr Aluko added that he’s so fortunate to have been born and nurtured by a family founded with love, harmony and truthfulness. He expresses his limitless appreciation to the entire members of the Ikokoro family for their prayers and love.
Meanwhile, the Ikokoro born appreciates the State Governor, Mallam AbdAbdulrahmandulRazaq and his cabinet members for their support.
He, however, wishes APC 100% success in the coming general election.
The event also hosted royal fathers from the three senatorial districts of the state. Among the royal fathers that attended in person are Olupako of Share Land, Oba Sulaiman, Olusin of Ijara Isin, Oba Ademola Julius, Balogun Afin, Daudu Asunnara, Magaji Atulunshe while others sent representatives.
Other dignitaries at the event include; an APC leader and former member of the House of Representatives, Mallam Moshood Mustapha, the representative of Mallam Saliu Mustapha (The Turaki of Ilorin and APC candidate for Kwara central), Prince Tunji Buhari, the APC state party secretary, Alh. Mustapha Ishowo, Mr Mahmud Turawa, Mr Femi Sanni, and APC executive members at the Local Government and ward levels, among others.
