Wike Invokes ‘Gods Of The Land,’ Wishes Death On Politicians Backing ‘Betrayers’ Amid Feud With Fubara
Whether you are a Senator, House of Representatives member, a Minister or a Governor, and you support betrayers, people will continue to betray you in life
Port-Harcourt, Rivers State– The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has declared that any politician who supports “betrayers” would suffer betrayal in their own lives and ultimately “join their creator.”
Wike made the incendiary remarks on Friday, February 6, while addressing supporters at a public function in Rivers State, in the heat of his protracted political feud with his estranged political protégé and incumbent governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking before a cheering crowd, the former governor warned that elected officials who align with what he described as betrayal would face dire consequences, regardless of their political status.
“Whether you are a Senator, House of Representatives member, a Minister or a Governor, and you support betrayers, people will continue to betray you in life,” Wike said. “You see people who betray and support them—betrayal is your portion! Betrayal is your portion!”
He explauned further that such individuals would be silenced and meet an untimely end as a result of their actions.
“And that day you will not have mouth to say anything and there you will collapse and there you will go and they will announce such person has died,” Wike added.
“That is the seed you have planted, because whatever you plant, you reap. Since you are sowing betrayal, betrayal will always follow you.”
In an apparent reference to the crisis in Rivers State, Wike warned second-term governors seeking to impose successors while allegedly backing “betrayal” to expect immediate political retribution.
“Watch! Every governor who is doing his second term and has ambition to put a successor and is supporting betrayals, you will never survive it,” he declared. “Betrayal will follow you. From the day your successor comes in.”
Drawing on spiritual imagery, the FCT minister claimed his warnings were divinely inspired.
“My own took so many months; your own will start immediately the person has been inaugurated,” Wike said. “That is what the gods of the land have told me to tell all of you.”
